Helene helps to create a welcoming environment at our Victor Harbor clinic, where she’s worked since 2017.
Originally from Melbourne, Helene is a qualified primary school teacher and has also worked in fundraising for Arthritis Victoria and the Stroke Foundation in Melbourne.
“Though I’m very new to the hearing sector, I’m always eager to learn!”, explains Helene. “Dean and the other staff are great to work with and have helped me so much in learning about hearing products and services. I love the atmosphere and friendliness of the Victor Harbor clinic.”
Helene works part-time (every second Friday) and covers for our other staff when they’re on leave.
“A lot of our clients are unsure about hearing aids. Sometimes they worry about how they look. Or they feel that the aids may be difficult or uncomfortable to use. They’re often frustrated about their hearing difficulties.
“I try and make them comfortable and offer them a good customer service experience. I’m very happy to follow-up with clients to assure them that their hearing needs are our priority. I also love a good clean database!”

When she has the opportunity, Helene loves to travel. She also has many other interests including her favourite footy team Carlton. Plus, she enjoys gardening, books, wining and dining, and being with her family. “Especially the grandchildren Vincent and Florence.”
“I moved to Victor Harbor after living in Melbourne for most of my life because my daughter married an Adelaide boy. Travel is my passion! Put me on a plane to anywhere and I’m happy. I’ve been lucky to have seen a lot of the world, but there’s always somewhere else -not at the moment though!”
